General Information

What are Hardiness Zones?
Hardiness Zones help identify which plants will grow where. Some plants cannot survive with the cold winters of the northern states, and some plants cannot handle the humidity of the Mid-Atlantic and South or dry heat of the Southwest. Pay attention to your zone to find the plants best suited for your garden.

Your Hardiness Zone will likely range from 4a to 10b, this is the general zone range of the United States. Your hardiness zone will have a number followed by a letter, the important part for you to know is the number. For example, if your zone is 6a, you can just consider yourself in zone “6”.

The plant descriptions for all our Plantjoys include the zones they can be grown in. For example, if the description says the plant be grown in zone 2-7 and you are in zone 6, then the plant will be happy in your zone, congrats! However, if you are in zone 8 the plant would likely be stressed and either perform poorly or not survive at all. Best to select a plant more suited to your climate.

What if my plant dies?
We’re in this together! We promise to send you happy, healthy premium plants. If you provide proper planting and consistent watering, your Plantjoy will be thrilled to be in its new home. However, we do understand that sometimes things happen. We offer a 30-day guarantee on all our plants. If a plant dies, please snap a picture of the plant with a description and your order information and email it to [email protected] within the 30-day period. After review, we will contact you to arrange sending a replacement. Please note, shipping costs are not included for replacements. Foliage appearance that is appropriate to the season is not covered by the 30-day guarantee.
